1989 Kawasaki Ninja GPZ500ex
(Thanks to Keira and Rob for helping me get this home! I love you two!)
Found it on eBAY motors and paid $800.00 for it. After a bit of riding I'll have a name for "it" but for now here "it" is (minutes after getting home)
Needs some plastic, a few rear-view mirrors (lol), some air in the tires, some fresh gas, some sort of carb adjustments (maybe), an adjustment to the rear brake light switch, nitrous, a wash, aaaaaaaaannnd... that's all I can think of for now...
(jk on the nitrous)
Here's some pics of it wiped down and in the daylight:
Thanks again for all the well wishes!

...and so it begins. welcome to the world of two wheels.
oh, and excellent first bike choice. infact if you look up "first motorcycle" in the dictionary you'll probably see a picture of that. cheap, resonably sized, and pre-scratched.
awesome find.
make sure the plastics arent going to fall off and wait to fix them until you drop it once. if it never happens you will be ahead of the game, if you do drop it, youll be glad you didnt fix it. have fun and put some miles on it. its literally the only way to get experience.
check this out before you get out riding, than get dressed and have fun.

nine times out of ten its an electric razor, but...every once in a while...its a dildo. of course its company policy never to imply ownership in the event of a dildo, we have to use the indefinite article "a" dildo ...and not..."your"...dildo...
congrats guy

I can see it now...one year from now you will have upgraded your bike and attended a few track days...its a beautiful future to look forward to.
Awesome! I'm right down the road in Danvers. If you need any help, I'm a certified tire pressure adjuster.
Nice bike and great deal!

Good deal, nice first bike. Congrats. How does the chain look? If it's original or the sprockets look like they have lots of wear on them, you may want to consider changing the chain/sprockets.
Good stuff! Congrats on getting into it! Riding is an addiction you will soon have a tough time fighting.
Sharp ride. I was wondering why I didn't hear back from you Sunday. Glad you worked it out. I'm with the others, it doesn't need new plastics. Have fun.
Great first bike!
My first bike was a '97 EX500. It served me great for a couple seasons. Real forgiving and a fun little bike.
Personally I'd skip the plastics and the wash and just ride the heck out of it![]()
Nice congrats on your first bike ride safe![]()

I'm not a huge fan of the Ninja 500... but that looks pretty cool!
I think it would look good with a fender elim in the back and some gold wheels.
HP
Gold wheels, huh?
It WOULD match my new riding gear...
