Anyone ever buy a bike from NY ? Any taxes to bring it back to MA ? Are there lemon laws on bikes in NY ? and also do you recommend buying a bike outta state cause I found a pretty nice bike and really want it.

I prefer to check the condition of a bike before buying. As long as the title is clean and in the sellers name, I can't see an issue. You will pay taxes when you register the bike in MA. Don't know about lemon laws and 30 day guarantees on bikes.

Just wondering , how do you check motorcycle Vin numbers , cause carfax don't work

you have to pay the sales tax when you register the bike at the RMV.

most State's lemon laws do not apply to motorcycles.

It's a FUCKING BITCH!!! Check the title before you make a move and buy a bike in NY....it may take all summer to get the thing registered if it's a salvage title. You will regret it. Triple check with your state's DMV to find out what's needed before you do anything.

TRUST ME.....I found out the wicked hard, son of a bitch, goddamn kick the can way....it blows. And my bike still isn't registered.

I bought mine from NY. Although, mine was brand new and three years, old. I didn't have any trouble with the RMV.
I just had to pay the taxes on the bike. I also saved $2500.
Its worth the looking around. Assuming of course you have a truck and can throw the thing in the bed to bring it back home
