fwiw, i have a 93 cbr f2, and i know its been on the track its whole life. this past year, it took all i could dish out, without a single issue, while riders all around me with newer bikes troubleshot problem after problem. one day i was the only guy in my group without any bike malfunctions. the friggen thing starts and runs better than my 05 ducati that i pamper and bottle feed.

That is really awesome! One reason I bought the FZ1 was because there are SO many of them with 100+K on them with zero issues. We'll see how many miles I'll put on it.

I think it was more along the lines of them figuring that most sportbikes get crashed and destroyed well before they are able to get to that many miles.

Or that most people will only ride 1000 miles a year and then sell it after a few years.
