Check it out. This is nuts. One handed drifting on a bike.

That was a lot cooler than I had initially thought.
Bike drifting will get big soon.

Saw that on Schleppy's FB. I really wonder why they picked Sandia. It's smaller than Loudon and not near anything.

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
I see a new sport brewing.....

Madness. That's crazy.
Kinda looks like fun though...

That remote car camera was cool too. Too bad about the cone.

They use those remote controlled cars in off road races too

Definitely a something we will see more of. I`d like to see some bike vs bike stuff. Ridiculously dangerous with a car chasing you that close.
Yes, the longer wheelbase slows down the rate at which the bike swings out when you light up the rear. I got to experience this first hand as I developed my CRF70 and it's wheelbase grew to 48". On cold concrete the extra 8" to 12" I had on other machines made it cake to drift out of a couple turns and block the whole track, inside line was my front wheel and elbow, outside line was a madly spinning 12" wheel of doom and the middle was the back of my motor. Pissed people off to no end when I played park and drift. : )

yowza...I thought motorcycle drifting was ridiculously unpredictable...tell me more about the stretched swing arm stability
I was just going to post this. I guess there is a use for extended swingarms now.
You suck at life. Why don't you quit?
My dad told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up. So I became an Asshole.

when drifting fails
AWESOME
Ride a "screwed" dirt bike on the ice. It is incredibly fun and relatively easy to master. The skills learned there can be transfered to pavement sliding, but there is a big difference in the amount of power required to do so.
It is not so much the extended swingarm that makes sliding more stable, but the lengthened wheelbase. The swingarm is just the easiest way to get a longer wheelbase. Think about it in terms of sliding a station wagon on a snowy road, verses a short rwd compact car. The vehicle with the longer wheelbase is much more "stable" in a slide. It likes to "stay there", and not come around so fast.
