I LOVE those bikes. Hobbs sold one to AJ when I was picking up the 74CB550 I got from Doc (which happened to be stored at Hobbs'). I was really jealous, but wanted something I could comfortably 2 up on and somehow that didn't seem like it. The 2 girls in my life at the time were not exactly small either...
I've since traded in the girls, so if I ever get another chance...
Bet you wish you still had it!!
2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250...paid 3500 msrp plus 300 in fees so 3800 for everything total from Naults in Windham
2010 tC
no bike
1987 EX500, puchased for 1200 and rode for a year, at which point it sat for a year before being taken to the track, crashed, sat for another year, and finally sold via ebay to some crazy canadian who drove out from Toronto to buy it for $500.
1966 Honda Super90 mine was in almost as good condition as the one in the picI paid $50, every other kid in town had already owned it before me, it was 3 or 4 years old, it ran good, faster than the next 73 CB125S that I had. Only had it 3 months before the engine swallowed a valve @ 80mph on a gravel road, best the 125 could do was 70 maaybee 73 if the hill was steep enuf

Ha, I had the exact same model as a winter bike one year, it was damn near indestructible. I used to regularly bet 65+ out of it 2 up!
When it finally blew up, I rebuilt it using 1 piston from an old CB250 twin... the good old days!!
74 Yamaha RD-350 the Year was 1977. paid $700.00. Been riding ever since...........![]()
1989 Honda Hawk GT.....aka NT650.
Shoulda kept that one...
My first bike is the same one I'm riding now, but will probably be replaced pretty soon. Here's a pic from when I first got it.
It's a 1983 Honda Vt500c "Shadow."500cc's of pure 1980's UJM awesomeness, complete with square headlight and mini sissy-bar. I bought it in the summer of 2009 and have put over 13k miles on it (yeah I need to ride more, lol). I've since re-painted the gas tank, re-covered the seat, and added luggage.

2006 yamaha r1. Got it in 2006. Paid a lot.
Blow me.
Got a 1991 kawasaki klr650 as my first bike. Got it from working a few hours for my neighbor in 2008. I miss how obnoxious the colors and big gun exhaust were...

First bike was a 1975 Honda CB550Four I got for free from my Uncle.... Never ended up riding it and sold it to a buddy who fixed it up. I then bought a 1972 CB350Four and rode that for a season until I bought the fixed up CB550Four back from my buddy and sold the CB350Four to BIGRED...![]()
1971 Suzuki T250
I guess I'm old. 1977 or 78 Kawasaki KZ400 Deluxe. Bought around 1980 from a friend's brother. Rode that bike everywhere.
Funny thing was, first job out of school had a co-worker that had the same exact bike.
Pic is not of my bike, but same color, etc.

1982. The specials and the clash top the charts alongside sugarhill gang and grandmaster flash. I'm bombing down the cycle paths on my Suzuki AP 50. 70mph downhill with a tailwind, bleached flock of seagulls hair flowing in the wind.. Bought for 90 pounds and sold a year later for 110.
In 1993 I bartered some mechanic work for a bike-in-a-box , it was a 1975 CB-750 that someone had put A LOT of money into , then put it in a box ,where it traded hands a few times before it got to me .
Custom 6 square spoked chrome rims , 4 straight pipes , cams and other motor work ,a wantabe harley looking sissybar ,kickass footpegs with crash bars, custom bars with black leather tassels, (yeah baby) black tank with orange flames . When I got it running , it would lift the front wheel ,kinda scared me.
Had a little fun with it . Fell into hard times, bike had to go.
Wish I still had it , or atleast some pics.
