If I get to ride on the Harley with some of them I don't think you have anything to worry about. If you are a slow rider they will wait for you. They will also post whether a ride is going to be fast paced or mixed. All the pople I have riden with are excellent.

in most cases a pace is usually mentioned or discussed before the ride takes place... so I'd say as long as you are comfortable with the pace then there shouldnt ever be a problem.

Be sure to mention if youre interested/planning on going so people could look for you and most importantly... be on time.

Boris, my man. There's an excellent thread in the 'Rides and Events' area about group rides. It's right up at the top of the list of threads, can't miss it. Read it, learn it, live it. It's a good read...

can we make "don't be a dick" one of the top 5 rules?

maybe right after "don't crash" and "don't make anyone else crash."

*CYA edit: not that i'm accusing anyone

post-edit edit: except hanky... i mean, jankie... i'm accusing him.

Someone's always thinking
I actually work in Cambridge, but I could get to Newton in 15-20 minutes.....unless I ummmm take and "extra" long lunch, which is always a possibility
I'm IN!!

Well, while I was at the pumps, I heard this strange, but cool, exhaust tone, and as it turns out, it was a green 250 with what appeared to be a fully Muzzy exhaust! Guy pulls into the Shell station, talks to one of the employees on duty, then rolls off...

Thing sounded bad ass!

MS

Hey MS, et all

I live in Wellesley so maybe we can get a group for a lunch ride. Most of the roads around here are pretty tight/twist but very blind/slow....I've got a couple of loops thru Natick,Needham, Dover, etc...the pace tends to be slow/moderate b/c of the rather large cages crossing the line.

I live in Waltham on the Newton line and work from home at least 2 days a week, so a lunch time blast would be great. Let me know

Alright...

What is a good day of the week for folks? Wed/Fri are my best.

We could meet in Newton/Waltham and loop around to end up back at Channel 5 (roughly).

or if someone knows a more Northerly loop..that's fine wit me
