Well I crashed saturday....went for a little stroll I even tought of going without gear (jacket), but decide to and good thing. It happened at Long Point Rd off 105 in lakeville. I was taking the corner on the picture. Well to my surprise there was a car stoped on the inside of the turn. I got the bike up and went off the road into the dirt. At this time I had to make the decision of either going for a swim, or drop the bike. I really didn't have a choice it was all dry loose dirt. So to make a long story short just got a knee scrape. Being on dirt did prevented the bike from sliding too much and ending up in the water. To had to the whole think the car took off. Gave description to cop, but without license plate number he said the changes are very small to finding the car, and also there was no contact.....

Damage to the bike was just front right signal, mirror, and platics (front, side, and a very minor one on the rear) being scratched. Nothing else. I was able to get on the bike and ride home. No levers, pegs, frame, engine damage. Frame sliders rule......

Now here is the question. Insurance? Should I claim it or buy the platics myself? Does anyone have recomendation on shops and on what to do...

Rui glad to hear your OK.

If you have full coverage you will have to pay the deductable, but make sure that you get a police report,(counts as a hit and run and then there is no points or surcharge on your policy if I remember correctly).

Tell the insurance that you forced off the road. If you tell them that you chose to go off and dump it then it makes it real hard to claim.

Ouch. Glad to hear you're ok. Sucks about the bike. Sounds like the damage was minimal though. If it were me, being this late in the season, I'd lay it up and take the winter to find parts on ebay. Bidding goes down once the frost sets in and people forget they have bikes...

Sup guys, and ladies.....

Thank you all......just pissed about it. I still think I should have made it, but learned a good lesson on target fixation (end of the road.......bad), and don't force yourself to go ridding.

I will have it all ready for next season.......I will take you there seven don't worry.....
