how to remove stickers?

When I will get the NESR stickers, I'd like to remove the other stickers on my bike. Any way I can do this easily without damaging anything??

most of the warning stickers will be on top of the paint... those you can remove by heating 'em up with a hair dryer, then use a razorblade (carefully) to pry them up when the glue is soft.

most of the manufacturer stickers (logos & stuff) will be underneath the clearcoat. you'll be stuck with that crappy "kawasaki" sticker.

Get a citrus based "goo gone" type product that's non-toxic. Can't think of the actual brand right now, but I've got it sitting in my garage. You can get them at your local Walmart when you stop in to get a 5 gallon jug of pickles...

how to remove stickers?

Uh..guys....I don't want to remove the stickers on my bike, only the other decals from another website I putted on last season. NO WAY, my KAWASAKI stickers and all the others are STAYING!!!

Ok, so basically, I have to heat up each letters with a hair blow dryer, then when it's softer, take it off carefully with a razor blade. Ok. Or goo gone. Ok. Easy enough.

THANK YOUUUUU

That shit works but is NASTY. LoveCat, he ISN'T kidding with the "WELL VENTILATED AREA", please do it outside, especially as you have kids around....

I have a somewhat decent sized garage, and after a very brief spraying, I was like, "F this...."

Have you read the warnings on that stuff?

Here's what works for me...

Heat up sticker in question with hair dryer. Be careful not to get it hot enough to warp your plastic!

Scrape up the corner of said sticker (or letters) with your FINGERNAIL or something else that WON'T scratch your plastic. Slowly and deliberately peel the sticker off...

Wipe area with a rag that's wet with WD-40 GENTLY to get the remainder of the adhesive off...

Then GENTLY clean that area with rubbing alcohol before you put your new sticky-stickers on. Make sure the plastic is dry first though...

The only thing this hasn't worked on is getting gay-gay flourescent stripes off rims that previous owners put on there...

I've had good luck with a little spray from the WD then the hair dryer. Stoneman is right, don't use a razor blade unless you are VERY experienced. Fingernail, plastic putty knife, or even a popsickle stick would do. Hell, you could use a plastic spork if you had one around.

Yo B, you'zz a ODFU fo' life, you wants out now, you knowz how it's gots ta be

Are we gonna throw down with them now? We haven't thrown down in a while. We should at least have a meeting, discuss the possibility of a throwdown. Maybe someone could bake cookies? We could invite those nice ODFU boys to the meeting, I hear they make a mean batch of brownies

I wouldn't like it. I want the same stickers on both sides, and I don't want to put them in the windshield.

Ok, I'll be the first to say... I'm a regualr on ODFU.

Here's why I'm posting here.
In her first post she referred to ODFU as "the 'other' site", as if she wasn't associated with us. If you refer to someone in a negative way and then try to be cool with that same someone that's what most ppl would call TWO-FACED. And I can't stand that. Which is why I lost my cool at first. After re-evaluating the situation, I realized that I was a bit harsh, and I apologize for SOME of the things I said. However, I still think her actions were inappropriate. It was very two-faced.
Now I know there are plenty of ppl who belong to both sites and there are also plenty who side with one or the other. Fact of the matter is, there is no reason for us to get into anything. There is plenty of room for both of us. We both have different atmospheres and each site has things that their members like, which is why they frequent that particular site. There's no need to fight over this crap. We can coexist peacefully. I'll try to start the trend. Yes, I've said some stupid things before, as have all of us. But those days are behind me. So if you feel the need, you can say whatever you want. But I'm not gonna turn this into a battle for "internet sportbike forum supremecy". Hope we can all be cool about it and learn to get along.
Maybe I'll meet with/ride with some of you guys soon.

-Mark

You know, this is why I don't put stickers of any website on my bike. I've met a lot of great people from both sites, and I know who my friends are, but there are always those that think you must be on some sort of "side", and thus, you should show that you're either "loyal" to X or Y and that's just flat out

It could've been a really good thing you know, ODFU/NESR, one big batch of NE riders, but instead, egos flaired and lines were drawn into an "us vs. them" mentality long ago.

V, be one your own side, you don't need to be a part of ANY website to get out and ride, and enjoy the company of other riders.
