Group Designations

The groups will be split in the same way you'd find at any other track day.

On the Registration Form you choose your group (Blue, Yellow, Red) based on your comfort level, and each group has specific passing rules, Blue group having the least restrictive, Yellow being more intermediate, and Red being the most restrictive.

Red group will have dedicated instructors assigned to the group all day to help them with everything from the classroom sessions, to the do's and don'ts, to flags to just getting comfortable being out there. Yellow and Blue groups will have instructors available - but in these groups we won't push the instructing so much - you'll have to seek the instruction and initiate the dialogue with the instructors.

Remember - our focus is not on racing - it's on structured safe riding techniques. So there's no need to worry that you're being taught "how to race", or go so fast that it scares the pants off you.

It's important to not worry so much about outright speed when choosing your appropriate group, just your comfort level with being passed, or passing as the case may be.

I couldn't seem to find your track maps on your website with the passing zones for each group. Can you point me to the link for these?

Thanks!

Red Group - Passing is allowed on the front stretch (outside only), back stretch (outside only), from the cone at the apex of turn 4 to the turn in point into turn 6 (on the left side only), and between turns 10 and 11 (on the left side only).

Yellow Group - Passing is allowed on the front stretch and through turn 1 (outside only), through turn 2 into turn 3 (outside only pass and it must be completed before you turn in for turn 3), from the exit of turn 3 through turn 6 (no passing on the inside apex of turn 6 - pass must be completed before turn in for turn 7), turn 8 (outside only), turn 9 (outside only), from the exit of turn 10 through turn 11 (outside only), then (outside only) onto the front stretch.

Blue Group- Passing is allowed everywhere on the outside only with the exception of turn 7.
NO PASSING FROM THE TURN IN POINT OF TURN 7 THROUGH TURN 7.
The graphical information for this will be posted on the new website when it's up and running (it's being created now and shouldn't be too long).

I (and my better half) just had a baby so we're going to concentrate mostly on NHIS this year, then go elsewhere probably next year and beyond.

We are currently putting together a Jennings GP day, but it will probably be when the weather gets cold again, kind of an "escape from the cold" track day for later in the year.

There is a possibility of a Laguna date for December 07 for our members if there is enough demand - and people would actually go. I have a contact who runs track events there every year.......

There will be special pricing at all our track events no matter where they are located for NESR members.
