nah... this is my first experience with an insurance company and I already hate them and they're actually going to pay for everything on my bike, so I won't bite the hand that feeds me, but it sucks they take FOREVER!

becareful with trying to get the medical paid via your bike insurance ... most insurance companies do not want to know about you riding on the track, nor will they cover it ... its private property.

holy crap you too? i THINK both of mine broke more towards my back where they connect. I heard it was a pretty clean break tho so hopefully i wont have to get any huge cast.

i dunno. saw a doctor this mornrng. shoulder specialist tomorrow morning, and then the AA-type group for concussion people at some point.

i hope someone saw it & can help me remember what happened- as messed up as that sounds...

crappidy crap glad you're OK. I had a pretty fast "mishap" Tuesday and was really happy that I invested in an Arai helmet that is now just a paper weight. I had a low speed low side last year with my HJC and saw stars. (not knocking just the facts)

from what i was told you tucked the front going into 3 (maybe braking too hard) and ended up in the pavement/ grass on left

this is a 2nd hand account so take it for what its worth - but you did have grass on you

Yup - Tuesday night, went over the bars of my mtn bike. Just my left one, dead center. I can see the end of the bone, yesterday if I moved my shoulder blades together it would "pop" (with sound) back into place - worked better then coffee to wake me up. Needless to say, I've been taking it easy. I have a follow up next Thursday to decide if I need surgery. Worst part so far, I can't open a beer bottle, or pull a cork out of a wine bottle.

If it is collar bones, no cast, you'll get either a cross brace, or a sling. Unless you need surgery, they treat it like broken ribs - here's a sling or brace, some drugs, take it easy.

Glad to hear that your relatively ok

VERY glad to hear it wasn't a brake problem

as for the insurance, they wont cover ANY medical bills for bike accidents if you have standard "full coverage" only if you have a special added ins. for medical

joel good to hear you are outta the hospital and on the way to recovering.

I talked to you when you came back into the pits and you were def outta it, we were hoping that it wasn't anything serious so we could poke fun of you for the rest of the day unfortunately that wasnt the case. But it was great meeting you and hope to see you at another trackday.

The health insurance probably wants the auto insurance to pay a good chunk of the bill. But, it was a closed, off-street course - so you should be able to tell them to go suck it.

whats up with that? i was right next to him.. you didnt say hi to me

Doc and I with some help from kevin and his pointer got your bike loaded. it looked rideable. as for insurance... tell them you were on a dirtbike.... a CRF50 if you have to. something that doesnt require insurance..

kinda did a similar scenario in june... my medical covered it b/c it was a "sports injury"... i never tried to go through auto. btw I have BCBS of MA.

also, see a neurologist, schedule an apptmnt now. you probably wont get one for a week or 2, hopefully your head's ok by then. go regardless. and definitely do not drink (or 420) until your head's 100%.

good luck. heal-up quick. and buy an arai
