OK, I heard back from the track (VIR) that it would NOT be a good idea to rent it in Feb (snow a possibility) so I have asked them for the earliest date in March that would be likely good weather. It's back ON!!

OK, here's the deal.

We can get 7th and 8th of March (crapshoot on the weather) or 28th and 29th of March (probably beautiful weather).

Both are Monday/Tuesday so it would mean time off work for everybody. Both sets of dates are for the North Course.

Comments/suggestions?

I would think the 28/29 dates would secure the best probability for fair weather and an overall better experience for everyone.

The cost will be $550 per person total for BOTH days INCLUDING hotel acommodation in Alton, VA based on 2 people sharing a room. (about 5 miles from the track).

I need at least 55 signups to make this happen, so PLEASE indicate now if you are in. I have to tell the track asap if we want the dates.

The cost includes 2 ambulances, professional cornerworkers, professional instructors and $5 Million in liability insurance.

Indicate your intention to go to this event in the "signups" thread in the "trackday" area of NESR forums.

Just to make it clear. The hotel is included for two trackday attendees sharing a room. The rooms will have two double beds. if you want to bring your wife/husband, friend whatecer and they won't be riding the track, you will be staying 3 to a room. I can arrange seperate rooms for people if they want at an extra charge ($50 a night approx)

Cheryl & I will be going. What if we don't wanna share a room? In fact, we want one with a jacuzzi, a fridge, and a courtesy bar. I'll go with the continental breffis package, but I think Cheryl'll just order room service once she awakens...

We want a smoking-perimitted room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard and gazebo. While I'm at the track, Cheryl'll go with the spa package they offer on the first day. The second day, she'll take the massage & yoga package...

I'd like ten - no, twenty gallons of super unleaded gas, preferably 92-ish octane (90 will do though). I'll be getting there late Sunday night, so I'll just need to know where to drop off the bike for it's prepping. I'll pick it up just after breffis Monday on my way. Oh yeah! Perhaps an oil change'll be in order too...

I'm prolly going down there too but not for the trackday. Just to hang and watch. I'll crash on someone's floor and then hang out with Cheryl at the spa....
