we were talking about you the other day when talking about plans for heading down there. Degs and Mick were talking about possibly going down with us and they were talking about hookin up with you down there.

I'd love to convoy down with you all, but its about 4 hours out of the way to get over there.

We'll be taking Route 88 from Albany to Binghamton, and 81 down to Virginia. If the weather is decent, I hope to set Will and Pete loose on the Pennsylvania countryside on their bikes on the way down and back - supposed to be some of the best riding anywhere in Pennsylvania.

I HATE I-95. The tolls, the traffic, the ASSHOLES who live in New Jersey......

thus the reason why I have to give Degsy my bags & ride my bike 3-4 hours out to NY

I spent four years going back and forth between NH and VA, as well as a lot of trips to philadephia. 95 SUCKS ASS. Always. You're going to hit traffic somewhere in CT, NY, NJ, everywhere.

My preferred route is 84 to 684 to the sawmill to 287 over the tappanzee bridge. Takes you north of the city, avoids all of metro CT except hartford (take your pick, it's either hartford or every other city in CT), it's a bit longer on paper but it's NEVER worked out worse for me, and I've done the routes at least 50 times.
