Ya, the professional photographer that Cornerspeed hires does a great job. I bought a CD from them last year as well.

If i have some time i'll set up a gallery w/ thumbnails so they're easier to browse.

NICE! Thanks Pete.

It was fun to ride at the bike's limits right there....

But really, I would have liked to have opened it up at least a little without the fear of destroying the bike 2 other people were depending on and riding that weekend. I crashed my own bike enough as it is

haha yeah. Messing up your own bike is one thing, but someone else's is another. I was especially pussyfootin out of the corners, despite the slicks. Not used to the power of a modern 600, but man it was a blast! Glad you and Alex had fun w/ us down there despite all the farming you two did both on the big track & especially the kart track

Mic, the pics are on me, don't worry about it.

And as always, thanks again Degs. You tha man

Great job Pete
what a friggn blast and never in the history of cbr600rrdom has a poor bike been so abused by so many in such a short period of time totally friggin' awesome. By Day 2 I was really getting comfortable and holding my own in the intermediate group. What was cool was after Alex flogged it I knew it was more capable of anything I could throw at it so it gave me more confidence on a bike than I have ever had in my life , with the result that I going faster and deeper into corners and holding my corner speed so I was quicker out of the corners..
Going up the hill out of turn 7 was where I really got to grips with the bike and really enjoyed that part of the track

That was by far my Favorite part of the track as well, from Turn 7 through turn 17A. I never did get completely comfortable with 1 and 4, but never felt I was about to loose it in any corner.

Alex,
You warm up the motard on that trip?

It looks like you were riding the HAWK. I'd probably would end up doing the same thing. Thought comparison of Degsy's 600 to the HAWK - the power... Apples to oranges I'd bet....

It looks like you all had a great time. Maybe next year. Maybe grab some rat CBR 6 for short $.

What speeds approximately are you guys hitting? More than 130 I would have to guess..

I got 100 out of my motard.

I saw 120 on Degsy's 600RR, and that was with a super lousy drive into the straight.

I think I would need the passing gear for the HAWK . Now I'll have to keep my eye out for a CBR 6. Cheap.

I saw 140/145 thru the kink WFO in 5th with stock gearing. Was around 155/160 by the time I got to the 6 board going into T1. With the stock CBR gearing 6th gear was pretty useless on the front straight.

On Chad's SV I was 5th gear to the lock a ways before the kink and it stayed that way till the 4 board. Was probably more like 130'ish, noticably slower.

100mph on the DRZ400. I caught up on some reading.

Gino: Motard and Hawk didn't go to VIR.

That RMZ probably feels like a literbike in comparison to my old-school rig.
