That's why I'm here, kid. If you search around, you'll find the thread where we were comparing property taxes / home prices...

It's simply not accurate...

Back to the topic's arguement now...
Even if the taxes were equal, there's a big difference between Property Tax and State Income Tax. Property Tax is distributed throughout the town/city by the residents as voted upon in town/city meetings. Income Tax goes into the state pool and elected officials decide where it's best spent. Residents have about as much control over State Income Tax spending as they do over Federal Income Tax spending.

Lots of middle men? Lots of hidden costs?
Who are they? And where are they?
The simple truth is that the costs are higher here because the TD co.'s can't jump on the track's insurance binder as a rider anymore, and our season is short compared to any track in Florida.
End of story.

JenningsGP is a motorcycle only track built for the sole purpose of letting bikes ride around. You can ride year round and there are 5 or so other tracks in Florida and probably 10 or so within a 8 hour radius.

NHIS is the ONLY track in a 8 hour radius that you can ride a motorcycle on. You have a short season and compete with about 6 other types of motorsports for tracktime.

Sorry bro, ain't Kansas.

Both Mt. Tremblant and Calabogie have motorcycle days and are well within 8 hours. They are also vastly superior tracks.

I was thinking Continental United States.

Pocono is a joke, Lime Rock CT is a deathtrap lined with ARMCO.

8 hrs range also add shannonville and mosport, both in canada. I'm actually thinking to hit one of those later on this season.

I brought my bike to Limerock in our racecar trailer and did a 30 minute "un-approved" session on the track. I don't know what ARMCO is, but I had a blast.

kinda bumpy, but really fun...

Last I heard... no bikes allowed due to layout/runoff room... especially in that turn before you go up the hill?

yea, there's no runoff room at Limerock. The only part that you could is off of turn 1. There's a wide open field. You'll go forever if you do go off though, it kinda slopes downhill. (I did that in a Formula Dodge car)

Yeah, I'm probably one of the lucky ones, Limerock Park Officials hate the Full Fendered NASCAR type cars, so they pretty much stay away from us when we go there. Maybe thats why I got away with my track session...

Nobody's mentioned Watkins Glen either...

Watkins Glen & Lime Rock Park = no-go for bikes.

Alot of people say NHIS is unsafe, I just immagine what they'd say about The Glen & LRP.

No, I never did it.... just knew it was happening. Website shows track school only, doesn't specifically mention a license aywhere I see. If it was CCS/WERA certified it would probably be all over the website and use it as a selling point to get more people to sign up.
