Calabogie Sept 15th & 16th

Calabogie Sept 15th & 16th with team pro-motion. The cost is $190 per day and there is camping available. The cool part of this is its on a weekend for a change!

Just seeing if there is any real interest out there for this... The next weekend up there is after that is october and I can imagine how cold canada could be for that!

7-8 hour road trip from Boston Area!

I am definitely interested in this. What would be your game plan for leavin and coming back. Since Im taking 2 days off the following week, I probably can't get friday or monday off.

well I would most likely be leaving that Friday in the afternoon and then a late night ride home that Sunday afternoon - I also can't miss any more days from work...

The only problem now it seems is the passport business as I don't have one right now - I'll be applying today if its true though

I would be taking a saturn that can trailor 2 bikes - I don't know what others have to offer as far as trailors and camping

Oh yes the passport thing. That sounds like a good plan though. I'll have to start that as well. I have a Ford ranger, so I could tow a trailer and put one bike in the truck, plus any other extras. If we got a bigger trailer, we could bring more bikes. I wouldn't reccomend more than 2 people including driver in the truck though.

From the US Customs website:

- As of January 23, 2007, ALL persons*, including U.S. citizens, traveling by air between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda will be required to present a valid passport, Air NEXUS card, or U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Document.

- As early as January 1, 2008, ALL persons*, including U.S. citizens, traveling between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda by land or sea (including ferries), may be required to present a valid passport or other documents as determined by the Department of Homeland Security. While recent legislative changes permit a later deadline, the Departments of State and Homeland Security are working to meet all requirements as soon as possible. Ample advance notice will be provided to enable the public to obtain passports or passport cards for land/sea entries.

I may be able to swing it, as long as it doesn't cost me a divorce. I have a Nissan Pathfinder with a bike carrier...no trailer, unfortunately. I've been on vacation, so need to check my schedule on Monday to make sure I have no work conflicts. Should be a great time.

I'm super fucking interested. I don't have a vehicle for getting up there, but that might change by Sept. 15.

Correct me if i am wrong, but there should be minimal amount of work missed from this trip. Im guessing worst case we would leave from work early friday afternoon, but that should be it.

It was about 11 hours each way from Groton MA. I'm planning on taking Friday and Monday off. We drove home on a Monday after the track day was over, and got in around 5:30am, in no shape for work. I'll say it again, it's the sticks, no water, air, shade, or electricity.

If anyone is headed up there and has extra space please keep me in mind. Split trailer, gas, etc. Looking at the map I would love to ride up there, but....

Smooth, sounds like you are out. Is that a definite?

Yeah but how cold is it in Canada in Oct? If its going to take 11 hours, I'd rather go to VIR during that time of year.
