are people allowd to walk the track on race weekends? thinking of oct 6/7...

i only speak for Tonys, but coming up to corner work, you enter the paddock at the same time all the riders do, 7am. There will be a corner worker meeting around 8am for those that want to cornerwork.

No track walks at TTD (except the two day event), you might get to see the part of the track that you have to walk to get to your corner, but you have to get there as quickly as possible.


Track walks on the race weekend ... I thought they did open it up on saturday night for walks, which a bunch of us did one night, but I haven't seen anyone out there in recent weekends walking the track

Yah I tried to track walk at a racing event and the gates where you usually enter the hot pit was locked, so I dunno if they stopped that or what.

If you work the 2 day and are there for the party, you could probably join in on the track walk tues night.

They had the 3-10 split gate open the night we did the track walk on a race weekend.

Of course that's not too say that we didn't squeak through the gates in 1A or anything like that......................

yea you're allowed to walk to track at night during race weekends.... a few of us tried one night and all the gates were shut, we asked jeff wood if they still let us and he said to jump the fence or something....no big deal

A buddy of mine got kicked of for running on the track. He is in training for a marathon and figured it was a good place to get some training in. I've walked the track a bunch of times without issues. Maybe they thought he was racing and did not have the appropriate gear on. I would give it a shot on a race weekend. Go hang out at TTD 2 day event for $20 for the party that also includes a track walk with tips from the fast guys.

Cornerworking. We always need cornerworkers, either on a Track day or racing.
