Tom, right at the 13-14 second mark you see the orange 600rr (?) pass the blue SV650 up the inside of turn 7. We don't allow inside passing at TTD's.

I thought you were saying it was my passes at first because I passed on the left, but then I watched it again and noticed the last pass of the video.

Yeah, that was a little borderline but it was before tip-in. Generally we like to see passing on the right in the braking zone though (see the other thread I started about outside passing).

It's a rule at many track days, but not all... however we find it's in everyone's best interest to prohibit inside passing. That way, if you crash while making a pass the only person you take out is yourself.

If you wanna pass someone up the inside then by all means feel free to get your race license & play w/ the big boys

yeah, I understand it all, and great job describing exactly where the boundries for passing are definite and tentative. I felt that specific pass was safe but I'll be sure to hold off until the next passing zone next time then just squeezing it in before tip in.

Looks like he didn't even think about passing until after I passed him, seems like someone has a bit of an ego.

There is NO passing from the apex of T6 to T9 in Blue and yellow groups. That pass is right out a blatant violation. There is a chance this was not seen at the T8 corner worker. They have to be able to scan T4, T5, T6, T7, T8, and T9 in an 180deg viewing platform. This could have occurred while watching someone in T4, T5, or T9.

I think this person will get the shake down. It looks like you can run but you can't hide....

That's exactly what I was thinking. I try to get as close to the turn 7 cones as possible.

Sure about that? I see Mike (imkindafkedup) in there, he's not in blue yet... in fact he just bumped to yellow this past 2-day.

Well, if the offender is who I think it is... there's no way he would have been allowed to ride in yellow. He's been riding in blue for the last few years.

definitely either red or yellow, and judging by the blue SV I believe it is red group day 1.

i can't remember who it was, but someone at the races comes outta six and it looks like he's skimming his elbow in the grass every lap. that was awesome.

The second rider passing into the bowl is questionable as it was getting pretty far down there... but there was plenty of room and it was done smoothly so no sweat there.

The second pass, as mentioned above, is wrong for 2 reasons... it's all a NO PASSING AREA and it was inside.

For anyone wondering why it's a no passing area, look around at that area on your next follow the leader laps.

It's got 3 strikes... It's HIGH SPEED, with 3 direction changes (left right left), and minimal run off.
