SO SICK OF LONDON

Grrrr... The beer is great, but man, I wanna come home and pick up my bike!

And this whole having to be awake and working during east coast hours while here really throws a monkey wrench in things....

How's the weather? (please tell me i ain't missing some great riding days)

I just think it's funny that you're in the UK, having just bought a Brit bike... in MA, where you can't ride it.

well... okay... but I thought it was funny.

could be worse: you could be here, wx fine... and be waiting for parts to show up so you could fix your bike... like I am...

Call triumph in Hinckley (about 2.5 hours from London) Tell them you are visiting and want a factory tour. They are usually VERY open to showing Trumpet owners around the facility. I used to service their IBM mainframe and they gave me the 10c tour several times. They will usually even let you glimpse in the "secret chamber of new bikes" if they are pretty sure you are not MC press. I even met John Bloor a couple of times.

derek

nice neighborhood. Swing over to Saville Row and have a suit made while you're there...

If you've never been to the UK and want to see some stuff outside London, take a train to Bath or Oxford (or both in the same day) The trains to Oxford leave from Paddington Station. Oxford is a very nice city. Bath is perhaps one of the prettiest cities in Europe. Both are about 1 hour from London by train and the tickets are cheap on weekends. You could drive too but it would cost more than the train and London traffic blows.

And after you're done with all the beautiful sight seeing, experience the gritty nightlife in, preferablly, the dingiest parts of London....
