Land and taxes CAN be subjective. Yip, it's only 1/3 of an acre, but look how secluded you are. The whole backyard is a private cove!

And we pay a bit more than landlocked land in taxes. Our tax RATE is higher due to the location. Their (NH's) reasoning is that the waterfront's more valuable...

Nah. We've no intention on selling any more. We've decided to finish up the renovations (constantly recruiting volunteers ) and add a roughly 800 square foot addy next year, which we're working on 'designing' now. Should include a walk-out deck from our bedroom that'll overlook our cove, plus a two-tier deck attaching the adjoining exterior walls. One level'll be for leisurely chilling, the lower level'll most likely have a hot tub...

I don't get it...why is it that the taxes are so high? Almost $4500? I think we pay somewhere around $2000-$2500 a year and we're in Springfield...(blink smiley inserted here)
