sad newsMaybe there's something in your house that's doing something to them. Like some kinda allergic reaction to something in there. Or even maybe something you're using in their 'tank'... Sorry to hear about this, Will... |

sad newsQuote:
Sorry to hear about Deuce that is strange that both had problems. Have you dealt with this breeder before? Did you put Deuce in the same tank that you had zilla in? Did you feed Deuce the same thing that you did Zilla? Do you feed this to any other of your pets? |

sad newsHey Nikon, I wonder if the uros are succeptible to respiratory infections. When I had my chameleons, I lost one to that. What happens is they get too much cold air and their lungs are not strong enough to handle it. It can happen from a very subtle cool breeze or leaving the outside door open too long in winter. Just a thought.... |

sad newsmy other two uros are from the same breeder and they are both still strong and healthy and everything. Zilla I had in with my other two from the start and I thoght that may have been part of the problem because the other two were larger and I didn't know if something was goin on there. This time I put Deuce in his own tank - completely new setup and even in a different room. He had no contact whatsoever with the other two that I have. I have had Nona since he was a baby too and he's now a fat adult that runs from me but healthy as a horse. This is the same thing that happened to Zilla so I am going to contact the breeder myself to specifically see if there were problems with any others from this clutch. I do not know, and am only assuming, that Zilla and Deuce were from the same clutch. I also noticed that the pet shop didn't have the other one that Deuce was in there with. I don't know if they sold him or if something happened. I am going to talk tothe pet shop today (even though my guy is on vacation) before my tattoo appt and I am going to call the breeder in a few minnutes.... When Zilla was having trouble and everything I knew that it could def be something that I did cause he was so small and I had him on sand and millet and in with 2 much bigger ones but he was fine for well over a month. So I give this guy his own cage with a proper setup all alone and the same thing happens in less than 2 weeks. At least it looks like he just went to sleep and died that way - didn't appear that it was a violent one..... |
