What A Fuckin' Commute This Morning...I'm on D.W. Highway in Hooksett, NH on my way to work this AM. I notice a coupla cars slowing down near the route 93 interchange and going around something. As I come up on the scene, I notice a guy on his knees on the side of the road, shirt off, bleeding profusely from his nose and forhead. In the road is lying a decent sized deer... There's one guy already there, just getting to him. So I pull over to give him some water to clear the blood from his face and to make sure someone's called 911... Good thing I have a strong stomach, I tell ya. I have NEVER seen anybody bleeding from the nose like that before. It was just pouring out! I tried to convince the guy to give his nose a bit of a pinch to stop the bleeding, but he said it hurt too much to do it. His face and shirt (laying nexta him) were COVERED in blood... I called 911, and they told me they had received a number of calls and asked that I make sure he stays consious. When I heard the sirens o' comin' I bailed... So beware when riding in NH, especially when you're up my way for Rally & Race Week. The warning signs you see cautioning of animals aren't a joke. They're there for a reason... |

What A Fuckin' Commute This Morning...especially at dawn & dusk & after dark |

What A Fuckin' Commute This Morning...Deer are usually most active at dawn when they're awakening and looking for food & water. Usually at dusk, they're heading INTO the woods finding a place to bed down for the night. If you happen across one at night, they're most likely on the move trying to get laid (rut)... Moose, on the other hand, are just dumb fuckers that do whatever the hell they want, whenever the hell they want to... Vermin are usually most active at night, especially if they're on the lower rung of the food ladder... Just some heads up... ![]() |

What A Fuckin' Commute This Morning...He, I guess so! But neither vehicle looked like it hit anything, and neither vehicle's airbags were deployed. I can't figure it out...<<shrug>> |

What A Fuckin' Commute This Morning...I got the Deer jumping in front of me all the time just down the street from my house. If I get up in the early morning, I can find them right in my back yard. Sometimes they get blasted thru the windshield, after the car knocks their legs out from underneath them. My friend had one go up and over the car! Damage on the right front, and left rear..figure that one out! |

What A Fuckin' Commute This Morning...Yeah, we have deer in our yard a lot too. We've seen 'em in the morning occasionally watering themselves. We've also seen two foxes froleking (sp?) on the shoreline in our yard trying to catch sunfish too. In fact, this spring we had a family of beavers start building under our dock. Hadta convince 'em otherwise... Hee hee...I said beavers... ![]() |
