Anyone live in Windham, NH?

I just moved in 2 months ago and I see some bikes around town here and there. Wondering if anyone from the board lives in the town.

You'll mostly find squids around there. Shorts, tank tops and sandles. Seriously. We saw people with sandles riding around yesterday. I usually ride right by your house when I head to NH, Londonderry road and a couple other ones around there are pretty fun.

You gotta be kidding me?

There is a guy who lives like 5 houses down from me who has an RC51 (I think). It looks like a track bike and I haven't been able to "get up on it" to figure out what type of bike it is. He trailers it around. He's older than me... like 35-40. I don't see any numbers on the bike either.

He lives on Nashua Rd in Windham.... anyone here?

I live in Derry, but I ride in Windham on occasion. Nice town. Bit on the expensive side though. I'm always afraid of going to hot and ending up in someone's front lawn, I'm not sure I have enough liability insurance to cover the landscaping

I think you can say that for 98% of New Hampshire riders. I see MAYBE 1 out of 10 riders even wearing helmets in Manch/Goffstown/Hooksett.

tell me about it.... I bought a house there and people tell me all the time about the town. They can't believe I found a nice home in that town for the money I paid. It's rediculous how crazy people get with their landscaping. I live by the Windham Country Club and people spend tons of loot out in there yard. I feel like I need to spend 40K/year in my yard just to up the "Jones's".

I live near Londonderry Rd and that is a sweet road for twisties... too bad I drive a "classic". It's a sherman tank with bent rims and no tread on the tires... I get scared over 40mph.

Brian

BTW, my girlfriend grew up in Derry.... off E.Derry Rd.

Took Londonderry Road this morning (been going by it every day on North Lowell Road for two years...) Fun piece of pavement. My commuting route will be a changin'.

Yea... I like it too! Great turns.... some even sneak up on you. Plus, some elevation changes here and there.

Just popped Londonderry Road into mapquest, I'm awful with street names...hmm, don't think I've ever been down that before. Looks like it starts up off of 102 where the chinese restaraunt and health club is, take a left instead of a right onto mammoth? And it spits you out down by exit three next to the church, across from the nursery?

I'll have to check it out. Doesn't look like a road I'd ever use to actually get anywhere I needed to go....but who wants to go there anyway?

Coming from Derry center.... I would go past exit 4 on/off ramps. At 2nd set of lights (Ford dealership) take a left. You'll know you're on the right road if you see the entrance to the Home Depot on your right once you take the left onto that road. Follow to the end. You'll come to a weird 3 way stop sign interesection. Take right and follow to another weird intersection. You'll see a small bridge with a river and what appears to be a boat launch pad. Take that left onto Kendall Pond (before bridge). Stay left at the fork and you'll end up on Londonderry.

Another way from Derry is take 28 towards Salem. Follow to the blinking yellow light by Chopper Works. Take a right onto Windham Depot road. Follow Windham Depot road to N.Lowell. Take a left onto N.Lowell (You'll see The Depot Farm on your left). Follow N.Lowell for about a mile and take a right onto Londonderry. That is where it starts.

thanks, I know exactly where you're talking about now. Strange, I think it's one of the few roads in the area I haven't been down. I'll definitely check it out.

brian, those are complicated directions. , but the section that leads up to kendel pond rd (south road) is pretty cool too.l Just watch out for the cops that sometimes like to stake out near that boat launch. L-derry isn't anything super special, but it's a nice road to add into your commute if you're going by that direction. There are some other side roads through londonderry that are decent as well. Just watch out for the police, there are a few that are complete assholes and others are great guys. If you get pulled over By officer Laquere, make sure you lube your asshole real good.
