Who was it that asked about dating a buddy's Ex?

i remember a while ago there was a big discussion on whether or not it was alright to date an ex girlfriend of a buddy.... well I found the answer, it was in The Man Code all allong... i shoulda known

"#12 - Before dating a buddy's "ex", you are required to ask his permission and he in return is required to grant it."

http://www.mistupid.com/people/page024.htm

so there ya have it... you have to ask & he has to say it's ok

(here's another version... says asking is required, but doesn't say granting permission is.... but gives a nice twist http://www.liquorwits.com/code.html )

Even stranger... This happened to me a few times with my best friend. Just recently at the Jimmy Buffet concert. ( He was smashed, but he's also said this to me sober twice. )

He tells me how much better of a match I am with his g/f and told me I should marry her and have a family.. He went on about this for about 15 minutes while I tryed telling him he was wrong, that the whole topic was wrong and it could never happen and never work out between all of us.. He denied that it would never work, and pushed the issue. He said he was going to step aside and push us together..

Now thats just thee most fuckin uncomfortable conversation I have ever been involved with... I love his g/f but I could never ever date her, even if the two had never been together. She is just not my type. Great person, but not who I would marry..

I think he is just trying to get rid of her and figures I will help out.. Best friends is one thing, but this is a bit extreme!!

when they don't ask, and gp ahead and hit on or date you're ex girlfriend behind your back, and/or talk shit to her about you, you are required to give them a fat lip and a few kicks in the kidneys.

Agreed

One of my very good friends is dating my ex girlfriend, but he correctly asked permission first.

Maybe you should bang her and see if he still feels the same way.

Not bad for a guy... I'm even in the progress of getting in better shape.

Who are you to

I'm a big person, but not fat. Anyone here disagree? I have a little pudge belly that will be shortly gone, other than that I am in great shape. I play hockey twice a week and I am now back into working out a few times a week on top of hockey. Not too mention a little soemthin somethin for a good sweaty workout. now I just need to do that a lot more, and I can cut out the gym!

So how much cheese are you selling?? Maybe a little trimming down on the reply screen would be a good start! Geesh.. Let take up more space why dont we. Next time you WILL BE CHARGED FOR TwO SEATs ON THE AIRCRAFT!

Sorry to disapoint you, but I am far from needing two seats on an airplane. And I'm honest, I am not thin or in great shape, but I am not fat either. I do have extra pounds that needs to be worked out doing exercice and eating better. I don't eat all my meals every day, and I don't exercice, and the reason is that I am exhausted taking care of 6 kids everyday from 7am to 5pm, then what I can't do during the day because of my daycare, I have to do at night (laundry, cleaning, cooking, bills, and so on) so I go to bed at night past 11pm, I am dead beat. In order to find time to go to the gym, I'd have to let the house go like a pigsty (spelling) and that would bother me VERY MUCH. Plus, I'd have "someone" on my back to make me feel guilty about taking a few hours every week to get in better shape (yet complains about me not having that "babe" body anymore). And I do have some of that cottage cheeze you're talking about (assuming you're talking about stretch marks) on my belly for having 2 kids. Many moms were not lucky enough to do without them unfortunatly. I like a cute guy myself with a body in shape, but I'm not too strict to say that I won't like someone with a small belly and a little fat, not everyone is perfect. I met Man God and he was slim and toned, now he has that gut that makes a good pillow...I don't remind him every chances I get tho...

Thats your rebuttle... I am disapointed V. I expected Your getting soft in your old age!

Honesty is the best policy!

& I do not like my ladies super thin and toned. Yes they are nice to look at but a little meat on the bones feels good!

I am in no way superficial. My ideal woman is Average/Cute. She must have a personallity, must love to laugh and have a good time. Being carreer oriented is a plus! Or just independantly welthy, heck inheriting the $ wouldn't bother me too much either!

Hmm lets see the ideal woman.. Cute - Brown hair - C or D chest would be nice! Decent body - sense of humor - self respect - independant - career minded - a life outside of significant other (me) - like to watch sports occationally - has to be able to at least like to go for a ride on my bike, but would much rather someone that wants to ride on their own! Likes out door activities, love dogs, love sex want to travel the world - then settle in and start a family of 2 or 3?

Hows that for honest?

Mike
