Anyone know of good motorcycle insurance? Progressive just quoted @ $1,200 a year for my FZ6, and $375 for my husband's FZ1!!!

I have state farm.

Progressive quoted me 1600 for full
State farm was a little over 400 for the year.

That is what they charge me for full coverage on my cbr1000rr... They quoted only like 530 for liabilty... Did you check GEICO.... Or Eastwood (don't know much about eastwood)

Now THAT is a hell of a lot better than shitbox Progressive.

Man, I just had to add to this thread that insurance very well could possibly keep me from owning a bike this season.

A couple things I'd been considering, like a 2001 f4i or 929rr got me quotes of like $3800 on progressive, geico laughably gave me a quote of $8229, both being pretty much full coverage save like roadside. Basically, I realistically see that I very well could be raped of all my funds on insurance being 18, a new rider, and wanting a newer f4i/929.

No need to start in on me being new and talking about a 929 as a first bike... I actually don't want anything over 600 but this RR is the most possible deal that I've seen in my area the past two months.

Sooo... I wonder what agency is the best(cheapest) for new young riders?

They gave us discounts for taking the MSF, having a good driving record, and having a good credit rating. They originally quoted $606 for both, but then did a credit check and the premium dropped even more. Sentry's definitely worth checking into. What the hell do you have to lose??

don't waste your time with Progressive.. They only like to insure cruisers / harleys. Not even sure why the advertise with AMA.

Liberty Mutual or Met life or All State are within reason. I had the same thing for my 600rr Progressive wanted $1800. For the same coverage Liberty Mutual is $301. Both are 12 month policies.
