New Ford Truck pricing Question

They will go below it, but not much and it is very hard to get them to do so seeing the next person to walk in the door will most likely just pay the employee price.

When it comes to cars I would not look at domestics anyway. They do not hold value well at all and tend to be less reliable.

MSRP? Sure, have my money...I don't want it....

People who pay MSRP for a Ford or ANY vehicle that isn't very rare or in high demand should realize they are throwing it away and they should give it to me.

New Ford Truck pricing Question

It is obvious people use MSRP as a guide for price. Ignore it completely. It is a useless number.

New Ford Truck pricing Question

One thing to keep in mind with a domestic right now is you gotta be buying it with the intention of keeping it till it falls apart.

They are heavily discounted but the resale already sucks and these employee discounts are going to lower the resale even more.

It sounds like a hard game to play but if you end up changing cars every few years you'd want to buy something that has ridiculously high resale, so you only ever pay the difference.

New Ford Truck pricing Question

I just e-mailed my next door neighbor " Framingham Ford"

I told them what I have for a deal and what i want for my trade as far as what has been gone through with the Westboro dealer.
I asked if they had a similar or matching vehicle and what they can do for a price..

Let the Games begin!

SELL IT PRIVATELY

I HATE car dealers.
Sell it on your own and let their back end profit go up in smoke................

We went back and forth and I told him I research the value and found trade in was ranging from $10,500 - to $11. He pretty much said due to the used car market, there is no way he can get me that.

He came back at me with $8500 and said when I come down Thursday he will work the numbers out and get the trade closer to KBB Value to make th deal.

So now the price is $28,536
Minus my trade of a minumum of $8500
So for under $20K financed OTD it's a good deal!
HE is Holding the truck for me without a deposit till Thursday!

Thats what I have been thinking of doing, but selling a used vehicle, especially an SUV right now is tough..... Still an option and I would be able to rid the truck for under 11K get the 3+ in rebates and low APR finacing ! I could make this more of a financial benifit in my favor. I would just have to hold on to the X till it sells....

New Ford Truck pricing Question

Hey Squid, I was just looking over your original post here and something is not right.

You listed the msrp at 34k. A fully loaded lariat should be closer to 40k, plus that cash back rebate should be availabe even if you are trading in a vehicle. Should not matter. It should end up being about 9k off of MSRP and then minus your trade in. The more I think about it, it sounds like they are stroking you a bit.

MSRP is $38,115.
Employee price is $32,038.50
Minus $3000 Rebate
And another $500 I worked in..
Price went down to $28,536.50

and subtracting a few other things!
Now If I get my $10K for my explorer I am in like Flynn!

Or do you think I can do more?

Help quick I am about to head over there....
Mike

Thats what I'm afraid of! I feel safer with you behind the wheel as to Kieth!!!!! He would test the thing for sure....

I might bail out of work early to get my new toy.... I took pictures with a dig cam I have here at work, but this dam virus screwed up all the computers and I can not get the program opened to download them. Eveything was still in plastic and it only had 2 miles on it!

Depending on how Anal you are with the truck, i'd tell them not to prep it. they have to do certain this, like checking the fluids and stuff, but don't let them wash it they will scratch it all up. when i bought my last car i picked it up with all the plastic still on the car, drove it home and detailed it...
