I am going to get an MP3 player and I was hoping to get peoples opinion on what they have and why the like it. As of right now I am think I am going to get the iPod mini. If you have one please let me know what you think of it.

We go through this every once in a while. You're going to get a bunch of ipod haters and some people who like ipods.

My ipod has been fine, it's almost 2 years old now? It's not like I'm religiously devoted to it though.

Love my iPod (U2 type)... Plus I got the adapter for my pioneer head unit in the truck... Love it... haven't had any issues with it at all in the past year... Plus I got a buddy a refurbed mini from apple ( I blew the engine in his GTI) that he has had for about 6 months now with no issues and he got the adapter for his alpine in his Z and works great .... I've had other mp3 players but the iPod beats them all hands down. imho

Oh and now with the exception of the mini they are all color displays...

I have a creative MP3 player that is the balls! I use it for riding all the time through my chatterbox and the sound is great. The batt. life if amazing as well, I can get allmost 24 hours out of it. I keep it in the map pocket of my tank bag and the buttons make for easy changes while riding . It also has a touch pad similar to the ipod that lets you scroll through your lists. I love this thing.

My creative has a 20 gig HD, about 5000 mp3 tunes. They do have an FM module as well. I bought the fm module for use in my truck and on the job site and it works great as well.
I have the creative zen touch and cant say enough good things about it so far.

BTW...I will have it at the track for the next race weekend if you would like to try and check it out. i like it much better than the ipod.

I bought my girlfriend a 1GB iPod shuffle for her birthday. If you want something to toss a bunch of tunes on to ride for a couple of hours, I think this is totally the way to go. It's literally about as big as a 5-stick pack of gum, so you can put it anywhere.

I've stolen it a few times when I've gone riding, and I might pick another one up for myself just for the bike.

OT, but are most of you guys in this thread firm believers of "yellow = fast"?

Now that I have the latest firmware, I'll be using my LG VX8100 as my MP3 player. I have a 1GB card for it.

I used to use a NEX IIe compact flash player but now that I have a cell phone that can play MP3's, I won't be using it much.
