The M definitley has more flash than the A6. More power too. I think the A6 is more classically good looking. 5 y/o Infiniti's always look like 5 y/o Infiniti's to me. Whereas 5 y/o Audi's are still attractive and don't lose there appeal after a few years.

Not sure about the M but all the other Nissans with the 3.5 have an obnoxious drone to the exhaust. Sure it sounds good when its fun time but annoying the other 95% of the time. The M is prob more subdued but it's the same motor.

Also in that same price range is the GS-300 which I think is a fine piece of kit.

edit: the 300 doesn't come with the sexy rims

Audi's tend to have a lot more electrical problems then most other makes of car which is unacceptable even in a car worth half as much. I would go M35 all the way! If you can afford to drop the coin, the M45 is one mean vehicle!
