Kryptonite Lock Exchange

Holy Crap.....

I did the on-line thingy to return my locks almost 3 months ago, and just now they e-mailed my return shipment label.

I can just imagine how long it's gonna take to get the replacement locks

Kryptonite Lock Exchange

Don't hold your breath. I sent my lock back sometime around May and I now have 0 locks. I was better off with the one that could be picked.
By the way I tried to pick the lock and couldn't do it. The pens were all the wrong size and I couldn't even force it in. I even tried heating the pen to get it to fit with no luck.

Kryptonite Lock Exchange

I picked several computer locks in our office after it came out. It was a neat trick.

Once I got the return labels it didn't take long to get the replacements. Looks like they mail out the labels when they have the replacements for the group that they just sent out.

I'm surprised you are having trouble. I exchanged my lock a while ago and they were very fast about it.

From what I could gather, not all locks are "pick-able" by the pen method. I have several, as do most of my friends. We've tried all of them... those that seemed "pickable" opened up in about 5 minutes or less... those that didn't seem to be pickable couldn't be opened...
After trying unsucessfully for about 45 minutes to get my disc lock open I decided to say fuck it and keep it...
I couldn't go 6 months without it, so I'd have to buy a new one even though Kryptonite would send a replacement.
Maybe I'll change my mind about my lock if I can find someone who can open it with a pen...

I think I first put in a claim last winter, and got no response at all.

I finally called them in Canton, MA and had new locks within about 1 week.

Laptop computers have a way of walking off with the cleaning staff in the middle of the night. We didn't have a lot of money so there was a big push to keep the laptops locked up.

I'm in a different office now and no one seems to care here.

that's funny cuz i had my lock on my rear passenger handles, lost the key, then had to remove the handles because my friend, friends dad are both locksmiths and he had his company try to pick it and couldnt get anywhere.
