This is, without any doubt, the NESR post of the year for 2005. Nikon had a few contenders last winter, but this is just short, sweet, brilliant, and *correct*

and the award goes to Mark...

Rust

Where is the rust spot? Also, if you're concerned with the surface being true, you might want to do a bondo majobby, wet sand with maybe a 400 grit paper, prime, paint, clear coat.. IF you don;t care about the car and just want to stop the area from rusting, just seal it with some kind of corrosion resistent sheeeitt before priming it i guess.

yep i just wanna stop rus before i have a hole in the roof. i don't care about painting it. corrosion resistant sheeit?

here's what i have in mind.

1. grind the rust surface with electric drill using 80 grit?
2. wet sand with 400 grit?
3. spray primer on?

123 woud this stop the rust for awhile? i don't know how to play with bondo.

Primer is not a sealant, so don't expect it to stop corrosion.

LIke 5 to 7 coats of primer should give you the depth
to reach surounding surface paint depth.

Wet sand with block to feather the spot

Try a duplicolor but I have been cosmetically successful
in spraying areas (like the whole roof) so its not
too noticable. Use cans with the blue pin operated spray nozzel

Make sure when you buy a car it has a solid paint color

If you think you suck borrow a refrigerator door from the local
dump and practice

You look for a wet grainny snow appearence when spraying then the paint will level and shine over the next 1/2 hour.

What else do you have to do
