I got a cold two weeks ago. It more or less went away after a week. However, I still had a really bad sore throut in like *one* small spot. It got worse. I went to the Dr. yesterday. He said I have something like tonsilitis, but only in *one* tonsil. Odd. Anyway, he gave me some medicine for it. Look at the pic, and note the name of the medicine. Too funny.

I've had tonsilitis for as long as I remember...until I got them taken out a little over a year ago. I was often having only one tonsil getting infected, but if it was not treated right away, it would spread to the other one. I had to take penicillin antibiotics every time, it's a bacteria and needed to be killed with antibiotics or it would get worse to the point that I couldn't eat, and would give me troubles breathing. For now, help yourself gargoyling your mouth with mouth wash or a mix of water and salt, but I would suggest you see another doctor indeed. If it doesn't improve, you will need antibiotics or it might get worse. Good luck.

it's gone, thank goodness. thanks looking-out.

when i was young i also used to get tonsilits all the time...but my doc never had them removed...i dont get it anymore, but would have saved a ton of sick days if they had been removed.
