fwiw...I'm putting on a bike race....in Providence, RIOk... -As some of you may know I'm promoting the 2005 and 2006 US National Cyclocross Championships in Providence, RI. As of right now we have one thousand five hundred and fifty five (1555) registered riders for the 3 days of racing. It is going to be quite the party especially since I signed Harpoon as my BEER GARDEN sponsor. So if any of you are looking for something to check out next weekend (12/9-12/12) please come on down to Roger Williams Park (near the Zoo) Exit 17 (about 1 hr. from Wellesley). My suggestion would be to be there either Saturday or Sunday afternoon (1-4) for the Elite Races. Below is the link for more information or shoot me an email. http://www.cyclocrossnationals.com/ Lyle Last edited by Pearldog : 12-03-05 at 06:44 PM. |

fwiw...I'm putting on a bike race....Good point.. this is what happens when you get too close. Thanks...we will take care of it. Here is a brief description- "Cyclo-cross is a hybrid of road and off-road cycling. Cyclists compete on a tightly woven course for a timed period, ranging from 30 to 60 minutes. Designed with hurdles and steep slopes, courses force racers to dismount their bikes and run for short sections on the course. These compact courses create fan friendly race venues, with spectators able to watch nearly all of the racing action. And racers compete regardless of weather conditions. " In other words...people race until they cough out a lung. Lyle Last edited by Pearldog : 12-03-05 at 02:36 PM. |

fwiw...I'm putting on a bike race....I'm not racing, I don't even have a cross bike. I'm just going to hang out and take pictures. We (Boston Road Club) are apparently going to have a tent so I'm sure I'll be there part of the time. |
