Thumbs down

Just wonderful...

I've just been informed that my company will be closing on January 15th which means I'm going to be out of a job. Merry fucking Christmas...

Since I can't afford to not work, does anyone know of companies looking for electrical engineers North of Boston? I have a strong background in embedded systems, cryogenics, and high precision positioning systems. The sooner I start my job search and the more input I get, the better off I'll be.

Thanks everyone.

The whole situation with that company just sucks. Compact-J told me about it and I couldn't believe a company would let that happen.

You guys both have my sympathy and support.

Haha.. Richw welcome to the 21st century.

7 Jobs in a Career! Not in this day and age. I'm 28 and I'm on Job #4 since I finished college. Even though I'm on Job #4 I am on Company #5 and it will become part of company #6. Of my job changes one was a layoff cause the company was going under and another was just my contract running out and the company had a policy of never renewing contracts.

I would guess most of us younger guys can expect to have more like 30 jobs if things keep going the way they've been going.

Good luck ZX-12.. it sounds like you have some unique skills, you'll find something...

Just repeat after me... "At least it's not 2002, at least it's not 2002".

There are plenty of recruiters out there cold calling.. things are OK right now.

I'm sure there is something for you here at my company. Checkout www.analog.com scroll the job postings and let me know. I'm sure I can get you in quick if you find something that matches up.

Yup, been working in the security division, we make explosive detection scanners for luggage etc., for 3.5 years now. What company did you work for?

Aw Bill.....that just sucks! Sorry to hear that, man. Well, just enjoy the holidays FIRST. Worry later. No sence in becoming
a stress statistic, because you will find something.
