Target/plinking gun? When I first got my 22-250 something similar happend. I took it to the range and sighted it in properly. When I got home, I went out and set up some empty dog food cans on a bench about 140 yards away. I took 3 shots and the can didn't move. My brother was watching me and started making fun of my abilities. I was pissed because on paper targets I could make the bullets touch at 100 yards. I then shot another 3 rounds and still nothing. I was so frustrated I got a sheet of cardboard to put behind the cans to see where the bullets were going. When I walked out to the cans, low and behold there were 6 holes in it! After that I started filling them with water or stuffing them with grass so the bullets had something to act on. |

Target/plinking gun?Traded my heavy barreled 22-250 varminter in for a Rem. 700 BDL in .17 centerfire....18x optics....no recoil...and a pleasure to shoot...but its no popgun.............. Again....my vote is a nice bolt rimfire...and don't skimp on optics. It would be like Kenda tyres on your zipsplat~! |
