Yes and you must also provide me with your Birthdate and Social Security number before you can make any changes.

Honestly I am not sure but I don't see why they would, sounds like a scam to me.

You need to provide your credit card info to change the account as a security measure.

Think of it this way... Kham is using his computer logged into his ebay account.

He gets up to go get a drink. I sit down and he forgot to log out of ebay.

I decide to f*ck his account. When it asks for his credit card # I am screwed as I don't have the credit card.

It has never done that to me, only asks for password and then security question.

All the phishers I've gotten that resemble ebay ask for CC info.

I've used ebay plenty and have never had to give them any credit card info. Just last night I made some changes to my account including a new password and still never was asked for a credit card number Just like iglu said, password and a security question

Sign into Ebay and look under the left on Your Ebay page for the personal info icon.

Look around there.

IF your credit card of file has EXPIRED, they will ding you for the CC info to update the account.

Sign onto Ebay.com to start the chain.........

In their help section, Ebay has a list of server addresses that are legit. Make sure you are connecting to one of them.
