My daughter finally got her green card yesterday! SHe didn't have to go thru the Visa process, and have no conditions on her green card either. We're so happy, no more problems going thru the borders! This was a very big worry of ours, and now we can feel much better.

I've been a permanent resident myself since a few months with no more conditions on my green card.

Well I am Canadian, so is she. My husband is a US citizen and he sponsored her as an alien relative "step-daughter". Since I already got my lawful permanent residency myself, it went fairly quick for her, I sent the papers in August 2005.

When we went for her interview in Boston on Thursday, the lady said that this was a fairly easy case for them and it would take only a few minutes....then started to ask her a bunch of questions (she is 10 yrs old) such as "Are you a terrorist?"... They have to ask those questions to everyone, but really....who would actually admit if they were? "Yeah 'mam, I'm a terrorist, as a matter of fact, I just stuffed a bomb somewhere in here and everything is gonna blow up in 15 minutes"

When I ask for mine, she will get hers automatically. I just don't have $400 right now....
