Still need power to charge them batteries I've used them all at some point (not the new 36 volt ones) and I've yet to be impressed with cordless tools other than a drill. I've got the 18v combo kit, batteries last about 2 years before they start to crap out and the chargers last about half that. it's cheaper to buy a new drill set to get 2 new batteries and a charger than it is to buy the replacement batteries and charger

And yes, I do have a Yamaha industrial generator
