Since it is down to the wire, I decided to have my car inspected today. I have a bad driver's side inner tierod that I was hoping to get fixed before my inspection but I couldn't get the part in time so I figured I would go get a rejection sticker. Brought my car in to a shop in Danvers on Rt. 35 and it passed with flying colors! I watched him jack the car up and shake the wheel and he still passed it. Who the hell knows!

The guy also put my car in as a 2.4L I4 instead of a 3.0L V6. Does anyone know if that can bite me in the ass down the road?

Bill, your in Ipswich they don't know the difference between a V-6 and a 4 banger! Not your issue if the shop didn't check under the hood or read the VIN. BTW I may be heading to NJ Wednesday.

I remember back in the day when it took 5 mins...and I'm not that old either. Now it seems like it takes forever. Last time I had mine done I was waiting for a good 30-40 mins.

All the silly little decals are already gone, the bike is missing the OEM "tear" decals on the right side since the side was repainted. I don't know if I'm gonna get the decals, probably just get the silver plastics instead.

Any thoughts on switching to the new mirror design?

It's impossible to lose or sell a 12 and not want another!

No new mirrors, I like these! Other than the fairing that was painted the bike is suprisingly clean, I was impressed. 17711 on the ticker.

I'v got rejection sticker few months ago and have learnt that you don't have that extra time to drive it legally. you can still get tickets for it if you get stop. it's printed on the rejected sticker. am i wrong on this? is there couple types of rejection stickers?

Kham, I think it depends on what you were rejected for. If it was for a safety thing I do not think you can drive it.

heres another screwed up. i just got an inspection sticker for a 20001 model car. they didnt check for safety like wheel bearing which im sure would not generate any error code in the compputer. i was told that from 96 up they only need to plug in cable to the computer to read error code.
