Anybody remember the ex-cop in Rhode Island who shot and killed his son while hunting? He took 2 shots and hit the kid both times. They said he was going through enough pain so he was never charged with anything. If that had been you or me we'd read this in 10 to 20.

The idiot that was a member of the hunting party went off yonder to retrieve a bird he shot, instead of rejoining the hunt party by retracing his steps and catching up with the others, he decided to take a shortcut that intercepted the others, doing so he scared up some birds between him and Cheney who had no reason to believe anybody from there party was in that direction, shot at the birds

Not actually have been there we don't know exactly how it went down, but if the guy that got hit was actually wearing orange like they say they were than Dick should have never pulled the trigger . We can all make assumptions that he didn't see the guy he shot .
I hunt pheasant and have been sprayed with shot from across a corn field but the guy on the other side never saw me through the tall corn. But this sounds like it was at close range and with in sight.

Absolutely not, as a hunter, you are taking a risk, bird hunting moreso, the bird flies, you shoot or you don't get a bird, unfortunately in some habitat, tall grass, you cant see beyond 40 or 50 feet
