Going to a seminar with Donald Trump on Monday night at the Mariott Hotel in Springfield... I wonder if I'll be able to drag Man God without telling him what it is about.

I'm a daycare provider. It IS a business. I have to report to different agencies, I have paperwork to do on a daily basis, record attendance, activities, meals and menus (for the USDA), record income and expenses. I also have to do training on a regular basis to different seminars, in order to maintain my license. I buy liability insurance every year for protection against all kinds of accusations parents could bring on me (and it's not cheap), etc. it is the same work whether I have one kid under my care, or 6 of them, the only downfall is to never know from one day to another if my income will stay the same...

AND I am also a housewife, yes. That means on top of taking care of my own business, I have to take care of everything else that needs to be done in and outside the house. I get very little help with all that.

Man God on the other hand works on construction, and he's a hard working man, and I thought HE could benefit, "maybe" from that seminar.

And as far as I know, when I registered online, it didn't state anywhere that we had to pay to go there. They also give you for free a copy of his book. Besides, I'm not expecting anything by going there.....if it brings something positive, good. If not and it's a waste of time, well at least it will have gotten us out of the house for a few hours.

THEY WILL TRY AND SELL YOU ALL KINDS OF BOOKS, TAPES, CDs, etc...

You will get nothing but little snippets from the actual seminar. You must buy the materials to find out the "secrets".

It's definitely a sales pitch for products.

Is anything free in life? Why would an organization go around giving free seminars on how to make money?

They'll talk up this hype on how to get rich, you'll get pumped up because you'll believe you can do it too, then they have you sign up for something that costs $$.

There are real estate kings that do that kind of thing all the time.

But hey, maybe you can gain something from it. Maybe they will have products you'll want to buy. Just keep in mind the seminar will be a sales pitch for something more.

Truthfully .... those seminars don't do anything .... Read what I have to say in 5 seconds and it'll probably be better than what trumps has to say ....

business (only real way to make good money in this life, unless your a sports star or something ... ) is all about connections , luck and hardwork.... Going to college is preparing you to work for someone... going to high school is preparing you to goto college and to work for someone... you can actually run a successful business without even completing high school ... My uncle did this, he is a millionare now and owns most of the dealerships in MA ... Chances are ... you guys probably bought a car from one of his dealerships before... he dropped out of high school at age 16 ... became a bar tender ... met some guy who owned dealerships while serving him drinks and became his best friend ... got offered a job with him ... worked his way up and when he saved up enough money bought his first dealership .. and hes been working in that business since then.

Luck , connections and hardwork .... thats the equation for making money

Well I have to say Man God is pretty well known on commercial construction. And he already makes a good income, he's not millionaire, but let's say if he was to start his own company and stop working for his ungratefull boss, he would be wealthy in a few years himself. Many big construction companies know him for his hard work, his perfectionism, his sense of pride for every job finished. He's been estimating future projects, supervising sites at Targets, Barnes and Noble, Howard Johnson Hotels, etc. he knows framing, drywall, suffits, roofs, etc. but he didn't want to be a laborman all his life, so he pushed to get in the office to work as an estimator, they gave him a chance and now he is the one who brings in all the new contracts and make his boss even richer. He's getting more and more experience with every year that goes by, and so far every other estimator that came in that office never brought in as many contracts as he did, and they were all suppose to have years of experience, yet they have to find one who will do better than my "young" husband (they were all older men who were suppose to be good at it)

In fact, he is about to start a company with another guy. I hope they do well....they're both very hard working men, it should be a good thing.

Ya I hear ya , if you want some true help goto SCORE. I don;t know if theres one in springfield but they're extremely helpful and helped me a shitload in the past when I had troubles. It's free too .. basically they are business-retirees that have nothing to do but give advice to people that want to start a business.

First lesson in becoming rich...Thank your daddy! Trump is NOT self-made. Alot easier to build from a foundation that's already built. That tool wouldn't get a red cent from me. And why would he be going to a Marriott in Springfield...LOL.
