What movie has a scene in it where one of the actors, training a woman much larger than himself as a butcher in a meat processing plant, uses the term "rule of thumb" and the woman proceeds to give him a lecture about how that term came from the english law mentioned above. The actor looks at his thumb and says hmmmmm can't do much damage with that now can we? Perhaps we should have called it rule of wrist, and proceeds to get into a brawl with the woman he was training?

This movie was a good watch and I'm just curious if anyone other than bbzx10(12whateverhesridinghthisweek) knows the movie of which I speak.

Untrue.

Onions contain sulfer dioxide (i think) in their cell walls. Once the cell walls are cuptured (cutting, etc) and the sufler dioxide is released into the air, the water in your eyes mixes with the gas creating sulfuric acid. Hence the burning sensation.

There is no way to keep from crying other than reducing the amount of sulfur dioxide being released by continually rinsing the onions while cutting them.

But what do I know?

LMAO!!

I swear that movie comes with endless movie lines / quotes. You could go all day with it.

Connor: Do ya know what we need, man? Some rope.
Murphy: Absolutely. What are you, insane?
Connor: No I ain't. Charlie Bronson's always got rope.
Murphy: What?
Connor: Yeah. He's got a lot of rope strapped around him in the movies, and they always end up using it.
Murphy: You've lost it, haven't ya?
Connor: No, I'm serious.
Murphy: That's stupid. Name one thing you'd need a rope for.
Connor: You don't fuckin' know what you're gonna need it for. They just always need it.
Murphy: What's this 'they' shit? This isn't a movie.
Connor: Oh, right.
Connor: Is that right, Rambo?
Murphy: All right. Get your stupid fuckin' rope.
Connor: I'll get my stupid rope. I'll get it. There's a rope right there.

oh... easily a buyer....last time I was at Best Buy, I saw if for like $9.99. It's more than a renter so pick it up.

The end scene in the courtroom still gives me the chills and I've seen the movie a dozen + times.

oh, and the movie is even better for us New Englanders because it takes place in Boston (filmed in Canada though).

Where you going? NOWHERE!!
Where's he going? NOWHERE!!

Love the police detective!! Guy is a tool!!

1 . Money isn't made out of paper... it's made out of cotton.

untrue, paper money is made out of paper, paper that is 100%rag content. while most paper is made from wood pulp fibres, a lot of high quality paper is made from cotton fibres, rolling paper is made from rice straw fibres

The role played by Willem Dafoe (sp?) is funny as hell with his making fun of the other detectives speculation on what happened at the fight scene from the beginning of the movie. I can't quote it exact so I won't murder it here but anyone who has seen it knows what I am talking about. "Some HUGE fucking guy!!!!!!"

What the fuck happened to the cat?

You shot the fuckin cat!

I loved that cat!

You dont even know the cat's name bitch!

That scene was priceless

Definitely a buy and keep and watch repeatedly movie. I bought it brought it to a friends house and now he wont give it back to me so I have to go buy it again and I will be more than happy to do so because it is such a good movie.

Glad to see so many of you knew what I was talking about.

Splitting hairs but it should read that money isn't made out of wood pulp... it's made of out 100% cotton.

Another fact is all US currency paper is made in Dalton MA by the Crane Paper Company. It is impressive to see big rigs being escorted by 10+ state troopers when they need to ship the paper. They don't stop for anything including red lights.

Also for all the vegans out there, US currency paper is rehydrated with horse glue after the drying process. Way back in the day horse glue was readily available so it was used for this purpose. The governement doesn't like to change things that are working so even though there are modern alternatives, horse glue is still used. This means people claiming to be vegans that use paper money are not vegans!

It is one of the best movies. I love the part with the cat... they left it on the wall all night!

I don't know about this one. Try to draw a cricle in one hand and a square in the other at the same time and you'll see what I mean. You either draw two circles, or two squares, or some combination of both. I think I read somewhere that it is physically impossible because of how the human brain works.
