4 wheelin thread...

The other thread was getting too congested and I didn't want to get away from the bike pics and everything so I started this thread. Discuss 4 wheelin here.

Gonna run with UNYX on April First
I own both

The X is the "family car" right now. I wheel the heep and with the big silver thule box on the roof of the X - it would be hard to get in a lot of areas.

Where you guys making the April 1st run? Got a trail already picked out? Let me know the condition of the run and I may ask if you mind a jeep comin along. I also have a buddy with a Rover that I wheel with and he's up for any run any time. He's got the winch to pull my 4banger out of the mud

see:

The trail that we usually hit got shut down on us. It was a good technical trail so we'vebeen looking for a new place to go with no avail. So we spend our time shooting now but are constantly listening for anyone with insight on where to go.

I go on whatever I can. Any trail I can find which is getting harder and harder. Clay looks like he has some decent trails he knows of considering some of the pics he's posted so he can fill you in better on down there.

It's been a while since I messed around with my jeep...

If we start all this 4 wheeling talk, then I might have to sink the money into it that I've been talking about for the past 17 years.

there in troy nh by keene. there both class six and trail. i used to run my 4x4 quad on these. lots of rocks some power lines. it's not uncommon to find a disabled truck abandoned on the trail.

i hear you on the tires. i have the stock pos ones and there's no way i'm going in the woods with them.

the trails are legal. when i lived in that area you'd see rigs going wheeling in there all the time. in winter its part of the states snowmoble trail system. that being said i would'nt go there with a truck with snow on the ground. i willing to show the way on the trails but like i said my tires are for shit so i can only go so far.

I find JF just too damnbig. I spent a lot of time on jeephorizons.com - smaller group of people. I got other hobbies when the jeep starting acting up so I haven't been wheelin or on the forums in a while. Got busy with work, daughter and other hobbies. That and I was too tempted to buy more stuff for the heep when it really needs reg maintence like brakes....

newenglandjeepz is a good site. lots of links to others as well. i'll have to try jeephorizons.

Brakes are for sissies, just like stop signs.

I take my jeep offroad with stock tires. Unfortunately when it was in getting inspected they said I needed A tire so I said put on 4. I forgot to give them a size and got the damned stock size
