They were speaking of a motorcycle group going up there to help block the family from the harrasment. They are to be holding american flags. And providing a boundry for the others not to cross. Holding the flags up high and wide so the mourning family does not see the protesters. And ready to play some religous or military music to over play the sound of the protest as well.

And as for the shotgun I agree in theory, but the organizers were very clear that they were not to say anything to the freaks. Just stand there in quiet unison, no matter what happens. The people coming into town are looking for lawsuits if anyone does anything to the "right to protest".
