A closed mind is a beautiful thing

I never said there should be NO speed limits only that they were artificially low for a political purpose.

Make every one a criminal so the LEO's can pull over any citizen at anytime as everyone is SPEEDING. All levels of government are addicted to the income from traffic enforcement.

There were 2 wonderful years in New York state where the staties would have a road block and check papers and inspections. They issued no point or low point tickets and got the money and everyone was happy. Then some do gooder forced them back playing the SPEEDER game.

Each individual LEO at all levels can be princes but the entire enterprise is a scam. It is a quiet conspiracy.

The fact that sportbikers defend it; means we are lost.

yea exactly! i never said either.

here's another ie. the new route 3 is wider and pretty much straight. the limit is still 55. who the heck drives 55. everyone knows there are plenty of state troopers park everywhere but you pretty much know you're safe if you keep under 65. you're left to wonder the real reason #55 is posted.

Like 'em? Of course not. If I'm speeding and get one, I pay it. I was speeding, I got caught. It's never been that big a deal to me...

Maybe its me. But how is the state making you a criminal. The speed limits are posted, if you willingly drive faster then the limit then you are breaking the law. Its your choice to press the pedal further

Department of Redundancy Department

The courts, the highway departments, the LEO's all know that they have posted speed limits below a reasonable safe speed.

If the raison detre for speed limits is that exceeding them makes you a hazard to your fellow citizens.

If it is proven day in and out by the safe passage of school buses and loaded cement trucks beyond this posted speed limit. Then that the posted speed limit is way under the "safe" speed.

If the purpose of a public highway is the rapid movement of people and goods.

Then the speed limit should be raised

The fact that this is not done is not in the least surprising, that fact that "Sportbikers" don't rail against it

IS !
