My little buddy, my puppy and best friend of nearly fourteen years is being put down weds morning.



Rest in peace Lance! I will love and miss you always!

I am trying so hard to be thankful for the time we got to spend together on this earth... its not easy pal. it hurts... a lot.

aw man... sorry bro...

I remember back when I was in elementary school my parents had to have our dog put down. This dog had been part of the family before I was even born. From day one after I was brought home from the hospital after being born, until I was about a year old, she would actually sleep under my crib & guard me. Like Will said... they're not just pets.

When she was put down I was confused and bummed out to say the least... definitely wasn't easy.

My vet sent us this card just after we put my ol' pal down a coupla years ago...

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

Brent, sorry to hear man. We had to put our german shepherd down because her hips were so bad.. it was so tough to see her in so much pain.

Lance is gonna be in doggy heaven happy to know he led a great life with a caring friend.
