So, last year I got divorced. My ex-wife keeps the house ('cause I don't want to displace her and her son). About 2 months ago, she demands $1000 from me that I "owe" her (remember, divorce is done). That is about the same time she puts the house up for sale and she stands to walk away with about $120-140K, when the house sells (equity that I helped with...so much for being a nice guy). So, she continues to harass me about a measly $1000 when she will soon be rollin' in cash. Hey, you greedy bitch, FUCK YOU !!!!!!

Sorry to jack your thread, Pete. But as long as were talking about exes and how crazy they are, I thought I might share.

And, let this be a lesson to anyone breaking up or divorcing...NICE GUYS ALWAYS FINISH LAST !!!!! Get what is yours and move on. I wish I had done that.

No, it wasn't. And trust me, I've been over her for a LONG time and definitely HAVE moved on. Up until last week the breakup was an easy one for me. Mutual separation in all sense of the word. The relationship just ran it's course.

All real assets should be returned to cash then divided equally. Houses cars phones, guns, bikes.

I had a neutral party evluate all my assets then if we kept something it went on your side of a ledger. Then the cash from house sale was used to even it out.

If the soon to be ex partner doesn't like this then explain that lawyers will consume everyones equity to zero and you will be sharing the bills not the cash. Happily my ex was sober and new I was a mean mother when crossed and believed that I would zero out assets rahter then get cheated out of them. Her dopey freinds all told her to try to screw me.
