Best Interview Question Ever

I had an interview yesterday at a place in Concord Ma. I was asked one of the best questions ever:

"So, What do you suck at?"

C'mon...word for word, they asked you what you "suck" at?

Funny!

Did you tell them you do most of your sucking at highway rest stops?

Best Interview Question Ever

That is a direct quote from the guy, no joke!

He said "Do you mind asking questions"

I said "Not at all"

"Okay, ask one"

"Anything you don't like about working here?"

"It's a job, I have to come here everyday"

Best Interview Question Ever

LOL.. every group at every computer/technical company has at least a few cynical guys like that.

I don't know if I've ever been asked in those exact words but I've definitely talked frankly with interviewers about my weak areas that I would need to work on for that given job.

When I interview people (not for a while now) anyone who pretends to have no weaknesses raises a red flag in my head and I will certainly mention it when we talk about all the candidates.

One of the most senior guys in our group when I was interviewed asked a bunch of negative questions like that when he interviewed me. Right after I was hired he was moved to another group, and I've gotten stuck with a lot of the nastiest issues he used to handle, and his personality has definitely rubbed off on me as a result. He always comes by to see if I have gray hair yet (I'm 28) as he swears the job made him go gray prematurely.. (He's 35 I think?)

Funny for an interview but would you want to work for someone like that?

Its for a technical marketing internship. I would be using CRM software to find demographics of customers and make a website geared towards them to get them to come to a user meeting in August.

The guy that interviewed me was very funny, he told me that he "sucked at interviews"

He kinda sounds like a "douchebag".

Nonetheless, sounds like a good internship.

That was only one question he asked mind you and I think he was trying to be 'cool' with the college aged kid. He was very funny the whole time.

I think it will be a great internship because I will get to see if I actually want anything to do with marketing
