A little background about the picture I posted above, the mills to the left of the Honda Element have sat there and rotted for the past 60+ years, and then last year they made these wonderful condos that started at 330K and a few months ago people started moving in. Now all their shit is gone, and I have a feeling almost none of them have flood insurance.

As for the Honda Element, who the hell knows? Maybe the person left on business, it's going to suck big time when they find the car.

No school tomorrow for me, and I'm getting paid to be on duty tonight because its an 'emergency'.

Yeah that's the one you can wash out with a hose isn't it? That means it's fine to flood your engine compartment with water! Should be easy to get rid of all the rats when the water goes back down though

I like this one. The water is normally about 30 feet below the bridge. I guess that means the river-walk is slightly submerged!

Holy shit! This is an impressive sight. Unfortunately the picture doesn't give you a clear view of how large that dam is.

I remember many years ago (in 1996), when a city in Quebec got floaded and they had to evacuate people....I had my uncle, aunt and cousins there, they had to leave quick in case the water would reach their part of the city. Chicoutimi was fairly a big city, if you click on this link, the photos at teh bottom show you a big part of the city where there used to be many homes, stores, etc. and everything was completly wiped out by a big dam that was destroyed...mud, water, debris, torential waves destroying everything on it's passage...it was horrible. Two years later...Montreal and surrounding cities and villages were plunged in complete darkness for a whole month because of an ice storm.

It's amazing what mother nature can do...just shows how much powerful nature is, and how helpless we are compared to her.

My friend has a nice picture of another friend walking down toward the river walk, the water is about 3 inches from his balls, and he isnt even halfway to going under the bridge.

For people who don't know, during the summer months, almost no water flows down where it is going in this picture. There are boards that hold the water back and it usually flow to the left of where it is flowing down.
