Not sure about the shift M1, but i have the shift superstreet and i like it. Its got vents in the chest so its never that hot if youre moving. Its not the most comfortable with the hard armor, but i never really notice it once i'm sitting on the bike. I think you can get them for like $279 at brockton cycle.

yeah, i think they just started getting carried more widely this year... haven't heard about em up until a few weeks ago.

I just googled em & couldn't find any company info... could be a side branch off of an existing company?

Dave, does your superstreet have any other brand logos on the tag? (BTW, are we gonna go riding together sometime er what?!?!?! )

nm, found their website http://www.shiftracing.com/

Looks like they're an indepenant company that started out in Off road gear & it seems like they just started making leathers this year.

Not all jackets are equal. If they were, they'd all be the same price & no one would buy 600 dollar Vanson's

That said, if they're new jackets, chances are that's their "market introductory" pricing.... and it's priced like a pretty high quality jacket.

I'd at least give it a look.

Shift has been around for a while, but not for street stuff. It was actually started by Fox for "alternative" motocross gear or something like that. They've had street jackets for a couple years, they have a couple 1 piece suits too. No, its not vanson quality, but its leather, breaths good, has hard armor, a removable liner, and is under $300. Good enough for me.

And pete, ride yourself down here and i'll show you some fun roads, i've had enough of city riding for a while (just got back from providence). Or maybe i'll just stop being lazy and make it up there again sometime.

Thread bastardizers that seem to post knowing nothing about the question... Shift has been around for years and is HUGE in motorcross..

IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THEN SHUT IT!

Hey snowboarder, eat my fat hog.

After my first post, I did my research and corrected myself saying they started out in MX and just started making leathers within the last year. Regardless of who's right or wrong, their leathers are new.... And considering their market introductory pricing, I'm guessing it's pretty good stuff.

If that post doesn't have MORE to do w/ the original question than yours, then i'll be damned cuz you're the god damn Pope.
