The Czech republic played so well that the US looked like they forgot how to play soccer.

-they couldn't hold more than 3 consecutive passes
-the US tried getting goals via. crosses WAY too much...they should've just setup outside the 18 and taken power shots
-the US were losing 5v3 battles
-when the czech throws it in, he'll find the ONE czech midfielder in a sea of 3-5 american players

kinda sad
i think the 1st goal sucked the life out of the team and the fact that they had virtually no possession in the czech offensive end
hope they can bounce back ( but not against ita)

Bah...and now Italy only won (and I didn't want them to win at all) by 2 goals, which puts the US in dead last with a GA of 3.

Although, that game was MUCH more entertaining as there were many more breakaways and the pace was much faster. If only Ghana had some forwards that could finish, they would've had an excellent chance at winning.

hahaha
ghana actually has a few guys that can score
the coach did not utilize them very wel and didnt finish plas and they didnt get the calls
there was one definite in the 77th min and another possible earlier
and the italy defense is not a push over
not the best but very good
if you wanna talk mid field
it is definitely more offensive
but it will be a fun game to watch
usa vs. ita
yes i will root for italy but i wont be hurt if the lose or tie
i do root for both but when against one another i go with italy
and not or any reason but i grew up watching te teams play and still follow alot

What was with the 12 year old kickball style for the first 20 minutes for the USA? The first goal was right off of a Kasey Keller long ball to no one.

No control, no nothing..ugly game. Here is hoping they can pull off some miracle against Italy, and someone chokes against ghana.

-early in the game: both sides were playing aggressively
-the US again, were not taking good shots: Reyna will wind up, kick it, and the ball will just bounce along (wide too, nonetheless)
-it's great that the own-gal happened, but I'm still worried for that Italian (remember the'94 world cup?)
-brian mcbride got pwned!
-come on Pope, you already had one yellow card...although it was a BS 2nd yellow card, you have to be careful!
-putting in Beasley was one of the best moves I had seen the US make
-by the end of the 1st half, and early 2nd half, the italians made the americans look silly
-the americans then picked it up, and almost had it with that offside goal
-putting in the last 2 subs for the US was the best move I'd seen them do
