You can own one for under $50k... unfotunately they don't have any black in stock (red, titanium and white.)

You could get a much more street friendly car for $50k though. Perhaps a BMW M3? Porsche Boxter? Although the Elise is muy sexy, it makes a much better track car than street car. It's light weight and handles like a dream. But if you don't mind a jolty ride and have the contortionist skills to get into the driver's seat, (Or if you want a track ready car off the lot) go for it!

I wish I owned on... but for now, I'll just look into my first bike.

All that was just research I did on a whim once - and when I found the sticker price, I was shocked. I figured they would cost more. I just think there are nicer cars out there for the street. Sure the Elise is a great car, you just wouldnt' be getting the most of it on the street. I imagine that's like some of the liter-bikes out there - you never really get to push it to the limits. You do that on a track.

Here's how I roll (stock photo):

Jealous? Thought so.

I LOVE the WRX's....I think they're really cool little bombs. I'd love to try one.

To be honest, I'm more the type of SUV's, and big pick-up trucks all jacked up on big tires, chrome bars and spotlights on top to go trailing....yeah....I'll keep dreaming. lol

Too bad I got the n/a 2.5 instead of the 2.0T (as found in WRX...)

For some reason, I've always had this HUGE crush on Volks Jettas. Not all models, but some, specially when they're black. Also some Mustangs are really turning my head, specially the new model.

Oh....she's beautiful....(model 2002)
